Hawkeye Community College Offering Free Robotics Class

WATERLOO–Hawkeye Community College is offering a free Intro to Robotics and Programming class from 5:00-7:00pm on Thursday, June 15, Thursday, June 22, or Thursday, June 29, in Bremer Hall on Hawkeye’s Main Campus, 1501 E. Orange Road, Waterloo.
Robots are the future of manufacturing. The skills to program robots are in high-demand and those with these skills are compensated very well. In this free two-hour class, participants will learn the parts of a robot, along with the basic concepts of position, movement, and speed. By the end of the class, participants will have hands-on time to program or run a Fanuc industrial robot. Fanuc is an industry leader in automation, operating in more than 45 countries worldwide. Completing the course will earn participants .02 continuing education credits.
